The Metal Mistress over at Bring Back Glam has posted a retrospective about Ratt’s video for the classic “Lay it Down.”
Great song, but the creepiest video ever made. A scary looking boy, a young girl painted up like Jon Benet Ramsey and a clown at a birthday party. Suddenly, the “birthday boy” blows out the candles on his cake and we fastforward 25 years to an adult Stephen Pearcy, singing lead in RATT. Not a bad wish mind you, but now he’s following around the adult version of Jon Benet in a very stalker-esque manner.
