Proggy black metallers and longtime MetalSucks faves Castevet have posted the following message on their website:

“Castevet is no more. There is no single reason or event driving this decision; it is based on the need of each individual involved to continue to develop their vision within new and existing projects. To put it simply, it is time to move on.
“Thank you to all who have supported Castevet since our inception in 2006.”

There’s no shortage of bands in the world trying to do what Castevet did — hell, there’s no shortage of bands just in Brooklyn trying to do what Castevet did — but there IS a serious dearth of bands that can pull it off. So this is a real bummer. Especially because Abigail Williams still exists. What the fuck dude.
