Listen: Even MORE Covers from Sumerian’s Upcoming Florence + The Machine Tribute Album

Sumerian has released three MORE cuts from their upcoming Florence + The Machine tribute album, Sumerian Ceremonials: Florence + The Sphinx — the time from Born of Osiris, Upon a Burning Body, and Fever Dreamer (you can listen to ones from Periphery, Stick To Your Guns, and Come the Dawn here, and ones from Darkest Hour, Asking Alexandria’s Ben Bruce, and Miss Fortune here). Unfortunately, they’re pretty crappy (I’m especially bummed that BOO have BUTCHERED my personal favorite Florence + The Machine song, “Seven Devils”… those NEC synths are just awful), and having now heard nine of the album’s twelve tracks, I’m ready to file it under “Cool Idea, Lousy Execution.” I still think the whole thing could have been saved if they’d included Body Count. Bummer.

Sumerian Ceremonials: Florence + The Sphinx comes out May 13.
