DECIBEL MAGAZINE NAMES THE TOP 20 DEATH METAL GUITARISTS OF ALL TIME

What’s up over the Decibel editorial offices? Last month’s issue promised the metal mag was starting their own blog – appropriately named The Deciblog – but as of this writing, there’s still nothing of note at the site.

We’re guessing that publisher Alex Mulcahy and editor-in-chief Albert Mudrian were either too scared to compete with MetalSucks… or were too busy compiling the list of the Top 20 Death Metal Guitarists of all time. In any case, we’re gonna save you the five bucks it would cost you to buy the August ’07 issue and just re-print the list after the jump (of course, if you can identify the photo to your left, then you already know who they named as #1).

Everyone should feel free to post hostile comments towards us, the editors of Decibel, or any guitar player on the list.
