Living Colour Have Begun Recording Their New Album!!!

This according to Facebook, where guitarist Vernon Reid posted the below photos of himself and bassist Doug Wimbish “Laying down tracks for the new Living Colour album”:

Unfortunately, that’s all the info we have right now. But hopefully the band can get the release out this year. It’s been almost five years since The Chair in the Doorway — not the longest we’ve ever waited for new music from the band, but still entirely too long.

In semi-related news, Reid also shared the below photo from Spike Lee’s Instagram account, showing the guitarist and singer/pianist Bruce Hornsby working on the score for Lee’s new, crowdfunded film, Da Sweet Blood of Jesus:

So it seems like it’s gonna be a good year for us Living Colour obsessives.
