How Much More Black Could Slipknot’s New Website Be? None More Black.

The fact that Slipknot’s website still lives at Slipknot1.com all these years later cracks me up every time I see the URL. Some poor sap has been squatting on Slipknot.com for the past fifteen years, and every time the band gets their album machinery whirling once again he thinks to himself, “THIS is the moment I have been waiting for, FINALLY, my big payday!” Except then nothing happens, because clearly Slipknot aren’t willing to shell out whatever outrageous price he’s asking for the domain.
Slipknot.com’s owner is surely getting his hopes up once again right about now: Slipknot1.com has been completely blacked out, which everyone is taking to indicate the band is hard at work on their next album. They’ve also blacked out every image on their Facebook front page which would seem to indicate their site’s server didn’t just crash or something. Furthermore Corey Taylor recently said that 17 songs have been completed. Maybe we’ll see a new Slipknot album sooner rather than later? Before we know it the whole Slipknot marketing machine will be in action once again, with the hullaballoo about the debuting of their new masks and yadda yadda yadda. No word yet on who’s replacing Joey Jordison but you’ll know when we do.
