Nothing Stands in Lacuna Coil’s Way

Lacuna Coil have released “Nothing Stands in Our Way,” the debut single from their new album, Broken Crown Halo, and… it’s good. I mean, nine outta ten Lacuna Coil songs are good, so that’s not surprising. I don’t think it’s one of their best… the hook simply isn’t hooky enough — one listen to “Heaven’s a Lie” or “Kill the Light,” and that shit’ll be stuck in your head. I’ve listened to this twice and I still can’t quite remember how it goes.

Still, I can pretty much guarantee that worse singles will be released today! And hopefully there’s some stronger material to be found on Halo yet.
