Dream Theater Announce North American Tour for Spring 2014

According to a press release from Roadrunner Records, Dream Theater will kick off a 21-date “Along For the Ride” Tour of North America on March 20th, 2014. This is a big boy kind of tour: major markets only, lean n’ mean, following an “evening with” format, meaning two sets of Dream Theater with an intermission and no opener. Says John Petrucci: “We’ll be premiering some songs we’ve never played live before, as well as featured tracks from our latest self-titled release and plenty of classic DT songs for all of our long time and hard-core fans.”

Sounds fun! Canadian and Mexican fans each get three Dream Theater dates in this run, too, delivering on the whole “North American” promise. Sorry, Central America… we know you’re technically part of North America too, but we’re sure DT will visit you soon as well (they’re cool like that).
