DEF LEPPARD TO REUNITE WITH PRODUCER MUTT LANGE ON NEW ALBUM

Rock fans everywhere can heave a collective sigh of relief; Def Leppard have announced that they will reunite with producer Mutt Lange for their next album Songs From the Sparkle Lounge due later this year or early in 2008. Lange was the band’s long-time collaborator, delivering a string of smash albums starting in 1981 with High N’ Dry, and was responsible for producing and/or co-writing nearly all of the band’s hits including “Rock of Ages,” “Photograph,” and “Animal;” the new album will be the first with Lange on board since the band’s 1999 album Euphoria.

We expect nothing less from good ol’ Mutt than a triggered snare drum drenched in reverb, epic pre-choruses, 10-part gang-vocal choruses and a cameo by Shania Twain.
