Puig Destroyer to Yasiel: “Play the Game the Right Way”
Alas, Yasiel Puig and his miracle Dodgers didn’t make it to the World Series. But ace Clayton Kershaw did win his second Cy Young award yesterday, so Dodgers fans have that to celebrate. And the team certainly looks like it could be solid for years to come. The outlook is less bright for my Mets. Ugh.
Now Puig Destroyer — the grind outfit dedicated to the phenom Cuban outfielder that features members of Kowloon Walled City, Curl Up & Die and Thrice — have released another new song called “Play the Game the Right Way.” Is this a celebration of the guy who lazily watched a non-home run as he showboated around the bases in the playoffs or is it an admonition? ‘Cause as talented as he is, Puig is not exactly a guy who runs out every grounder. Just saying.
The new track comes from Wait For Spring, Puig Destroyer’s next effort, slated for a November 19th release. Wait for spring indeed… only three months until pitchers and catchers!
