The Chariot are Breaking Up
It would appear that The Chariot are dunzo. They posted the above video on YouTube earlier this evening, entitled “All’s Well That Ends Well,” along with the following message:
Thank you. To everyone on this planet Earth that has ever supported us, helped us, watched us, hung out with us, given us a place to stay, given food, prayed over us, loaned us equipment, advised us, booked us, or given us a chance, no matter how big or small…we are forever grateful.
The video announces a farewell tour that will take place October 10 through November 16 with Glasscloud, Birds in Row, To the Wind and Rebuker supporting.
The Chariot have been a controversial band in certain circles due to their Christian base, but we’ve always given them the MetalSucks seal of approval thanks to their electric live show, entertaining music videos, and, most importantly, crushing, chaotic jams. They’ll certainly be missed.
We’ll report cities and venues for the farewell tour as soon as they’re announced.
Stream their 2011 album One Wing, as strong an effort as any in their catalogue, and cry yourselves to sleep tonight:
