DeLeo Brothers Unite with Slash and Duff Over Their Hatred of Scott Weiland

What do Slash, Duff McKagan, Dean DeLeo, Robert DeLeo, and Eric Kretz all have in common? They’re all musicians, and they all Scott Weiland’s guts. So it would appear that they’ve decided to take an opportunity to rub Weiland’s nose in the fact that he has now been fired from both Stone Temple Pilots and Velvet Revolver. From Noisecreep:

“A cavalcade of rock’s most popular musicians are set to perform together at the 2013 MusiCares Map Fund Benefit, which honors Linkin Park singer Chester Bennington. In the latest update, Guns N’ Roses / Velvet Revolver bandmates Slash and Duff McKagan revealed that they have been rehearsing with Stone Temple Pilots, whose new vocalist happens to be Chester Bennington, for a performance at the annual event, which takes place Thursday night (May 30) at Club Nokia in Los Angeles.”

As much as I loathe Bennington and wish this were happening at an event honoring any number of other people, I also absolutely LOVE the idea of smoke coming out of Weiland’s ears as he realizes all his friends are having a playdate without him. BURN, DUDE!
