Another New Revocation In-Studio Video, Another New Snippet of New Music
These were Vince’s first words upon hearing Revocation’s new, self-titled album:
“The guitar work… CRIKEY! The guitar work. My God.”
It takes a lot to get Vince to utter a phrase like “CRIKEY!”, but it’s not exactly shocking that new Revocation music should elicit such a reaction; after all, the band does feature David Davidson, the best guitarist in modern metal (and co-guitarist Dan Gargiulo ain’t no slouch himself).
Relapse won’t release the new Revocation album ’til sometime this summer, but now you can get a lil’ taste of the crikey-inducing guitar work courtesy of the band’s second in-studio video chronicling the making of the album. In case I haven’t already made it clear, this video concentrates on the recording of the guitars; watch the first video to see drummer Phil Dubois-Coyne and bassist Brett Bamberger in action.
Revocation will be part of this year’s Summer Slaughter tour, along with The Dillinger Escape Plan, Animals as Leaders, Periphery, Norma Jean, Cattle Decapitation, The Ocean, Aeon, Rings of Saturn, and Thy Art is Murder. Get dates here.
