Watch: 1995 Video of Metallica Covering Motörhead While Dressed as Lemmy

I had no idea this happened, but apparently in 1995, Metallica helped Lemmy celebrate his fiftieth birthday by dressing him up as him and playing Motörhead covers under the name “The Lemmys.” Sadly, this is better than Metallica dressing up like douchebags and playing Metallica covers, which is pretty much what they do now.

Two interesting notes: apparently they all had one of Lemmy’s tattoos drawn onto their arms, but they all got it on the wrong arm… and not a one of ’em wore a fake mole, which seems to me like THE most important aspect of any Lemmy costume. Don’t you agree?
