Stream The Modern Age Slavery’s Requiem for Us All in its Entirety
Last week, I gave a hearty thumbs up to Requiem for Us All, the new album from Italian death metallers The Modern Age Slavery, and based on the comments, it seems like you guys were pretty into it — enough so that several of you basically called me an idiot for not getting hip to this band sooner (because my leg is shackled to my death and I never ever do anything but listen to metal). I’ve jammed to the album a bunch more since then, I’m even more into it than I was when I wrote that other piece (got all that?). The album comes out today on Pavement Music, but if my previous post didn’t sell you on it, hopefully this will: Requiem is now streaming in its entirety right here.
This is really well written, totally crushing shit, and it comes with an endorsement from Fleshgod Apocalypse, whose guitarist/vocalist, Tommaso Riccardi, makes a guest appearance on the track “The Silent Death of Cain.” Also it totally didn’t occur to me until just now, but I had this really vivid and terrifying nightmare on Sunday evening about these monsters with tentacles, and I think it may have been inspired by Requiem‘s album art. If that’s not a glowing recommendation, I dunno what is.
Stream The Modern Age Slavery’s Requiem for Us All here. Like I said, it’s out today!!!
