Mayhem Fest 2013 Rumors: Amon Amarth, Job for a Cowboy, and Battlecross

The official announcement of this year’s Mayhem Fest line-up won’t come ’til March 18 — but it looks like we might be able to surmise the identities of a few of the bands on the bill right now.

See, the fest released this teaser video for this year’s edition of the tour…

…and then three bands — Amon Amarth, Job for a Cowboy, and Battlecross — posted the following messages on their respective Facebook pages:

It’s fairly unlikely that the bill is still being sorted out three weeks before its announcement, so it seems like a safe bet that the participation of these bands isn’t just wishful thinking. And assuming that’s true, well… the line-up is off to a pretty good start this year, no?

We’ll find out in a few weeks if these bands are indeed on the tour, or this turned out to just be a horrible, horrible cock tease.
