Get Svept Away by the Album Art for Finntroll’s Blodsvept

I may not be a Finntroll fan, but I am a fan of the cover art for their new album, Blodsvept. It’s got that whole talented-high-school-kid-drawing-in-his-notebook-when-he-should-be-paying-attention feel to it. It’s evil in all the silliest and best ways.

Unfortunately, inside sources tell me that this was actually the band’s second choice for the album cover. They had a problem clearing the licensing for their first choice.

Blodsvept comes out March 26 on Century.
