Ghost are Marionettes

Ghost have recorded a cover of ABBA’s “Marionette” with Dave Grohl on drums, and I’m not even gonna type anything else because I assume by now you just wanna hit “play” on this mutha:

Unsurprisingly cool, but I actually prefer ABBA’s original. Yes, I know that’s weird. But ABBA’s original probably sounds even creepier, inappropriately upbeat guitar solo aside. It’s not hard to imagine a young Danny Elfman listening to the chorus of “Marionette” closely.

But don’t worry, Ghost, I still totally love you. And I still prefer your version of “Here Comes to the Sun” to The Beatles’ original.

The “Marionette” cover will be a b-side (we’re still using the term “b-side”?) for Ghost’s new album,  Infestissumam. Presumably it will get an official release as an iTunes “deluxe edition” bonus track or whatever.
