Holiday Shopping for Metalheads: Iron Maiden The Number of the Beast Vans

Iron Maiden and Vans sneakers are no strangers to one another: the two teamed up for some slick-looking Powerslave slip-ons a few years ago. Slip-ons look completely retarded and are for swoopy-haired Warped Tour kids, but had I know there were hi-tops available too maybe I’d have bought a pair because they did look pretty sweet.

Now Iron Maiden and Vans are back in time for the 2012 holiday season with a fresh line of Iron Maiden-themed Vans slip-ons and “Sk8-Hi” hi-tops, this time celebrating the 30th anniversary of the considerably more black-heavy artwork for Maiden’s landmark album The Number of the Beast. Check ’em out right here. The slip ons sell for $60 a pair through the Vans website and the hi-tops go for $70, both of which strike me as fair prices.
