UNDEROATH NO LONGER UNDER IT, NOW OVER IT

Underoath are breaking up. They’ll release what’s ostensibly a greatest hits collection with two new songs,  Anthology 1999-2012, on November 6, and do a farewell tour, and that that’s it (until the inevitable reunion in 5-10 years.)

Does this news make you sad? Underoath are one of those bands that someone tries to convince me are good every few years, and I’ve really never understood the appeal. I’m actually listening to them on Spotify even as I type this, and I cannot wait to be done typing this so I can turn it off. Perfectly nice dudes, I’m sure, but their music just irritates me.
