Sabaton Draw Their Swords for New Single and Video “Templars”

0

Swedish metal outfit Sabaton are back with their first single in over two years. Out today, “Templars” is a mystical new release accompanied by a captivating music video. The band has shared the track ahead of their forthcoming eleventh studio album.

For the music video, Sabaton unveils cinematic visuals of a dramatic battlefield fight, shot between two historical locations in Serbia, the Belgrade and Smederevo Fortresses.

Speaking about their new release, Sabaton bassist Pär Sundström shares,

“‘Templars is the first song we wrote for our forthcoming album and it truly brings out the theatrical side of Sabaton. From the moment we started working on it, we were overflowing with ideas on how to bring it to life on stage. We didn’t just want to play it—we wanted to show it!”

Today, the band has also announced their new signing with Better Noise Music. Speaking about this new endeavour, Sundström says:

“We’re truly excited to begin this new chapter with Better Noise Music. After exploring various record labels worldwide, we found Better Noise to be the perfect fit. As an independent label, they haven’t traditionally focused on our style of heavy metal, making this collaboration particularly exciting. We’re excited to see how this partnership develops, confident that they’re ready to embrace the challenge of working with a band that brings a unique sound to their roster.”

The label’s A&R director, Lexie Viklund, adds:

“We’re thrilled to welcome Sabaton to our roster. Their powerful music and storytelling have resonated with fans worldwide, and we’re eager to amplify their presence in the U.S. while continuing to grow their global impact.”

The details for Sabaton’s forthcoming album are yet to be announced.
