Bury Tomorrow Unveil Annihilating Riffage on New Single “Forever The Night”
Amidst their current co-headlining North American tour with While She Sleeps, British metalcore lords Bury Tomorrow have dropped a brand-new single titled “Forever The Night” with an accompanying visualiser.
“Forever The Night” is a bid to the negatives of escapism. Although there’s an immediate dopamine hit from this feeling, on this new release, the band explore its negatives, such as the void and avoidance it brings. The track is all about diving deep to reveal the inner truth, as lyrics read, “expose the chains I hide.”
Right now, Bury Tomorrow are gearing up for the release of their eighth studio album, Will You Haunt Me, With That Same Patience.
Speaking about the themes woven throughout it, guitarist, Kristan Dawson, says:
“To haunt is to revisit or recur persistently to the consciousness of someone or something. There’s beauty in that commitment somewhat. In a world full of distraction, discourse, instancy and demand, patience seems hard to attain. In patience there is peace, one thing society is short of. The title serves as a call of reflection, relying on the present moment, remembering what truly matters. I think the notion of patience being haunting is quite a contrast and that’s certainly reflective of the album musically.”
On, Will You Haunt Me, With That Same Patience, Bury Tomorrow expand into a new chapter. Having gained new guitarist Ed Hartwell and keyboardist/vocalist Tom Prendergast back in 2023, the band has since been intricately re-tuning their sound.
This new record also sees Carl Bown (Sleep Token, Bullet For My Valentine, While She Sleeps) take on production duties for the very first time.
