Joey Jordison’s Family Resurface His Original Slipknot Logo Design

0

Die-hard fans will remember Joey Jordison for his iconic work as Slipknot’s co-founder and drummer, though he was also a talented artist separate from music. In the beginning stages of the group’s work, Jordison had sketched out the band’s original logos.

Following his tragic passing in 2021, Jordison’s family curated an Instagram account featuring a collection of sentimental photos and videos to celebrate his life. This week, the late drummer’s family has resurfaced photos of his original sketches for the band’s iconic logo, and it’s heartwarming to see that the band has been rocking it for the last 20 years.

A few years after joining Slipknot, Jordison formed a new project called Murderdolls with Tripp Eisen, of which he played as the band’s guitarist for several years. After Jordison’s departure from Slipknot in 2013, he later popped up in various other projects, including Scar the Martyr, Vimic and Sinsaenum (to name a few).

In 2025, his death still bears plenty of weight in the metal scene. Though he is gone, his legacy prevails in these newly resurfaced OG Slipknot logo designs.
