Halestorm Unveil the Darkness in New Single “Darkness Always Wins”
Pennsylvanian metalheads Halestorm are back and this time have unleashed their debut single of 2025. It’s fair to say the band might be a little obsessed with the dark, as their brand-new track “Darkness Always Wins” is an emotionally captivating release that follows their anthemic single “can you see me in the dark?”
Speaking about their new release, Halestorm frontwoman Lzzy Hale said:
“‘Darkness Always Wins’ is not a song of hope, nor a song of despair. It is reality. History repeating. Evil prevails and the good depart first. But we are not doomed as long as we persist and keep our fires burning. The war may not be won in this lifetime. But our mission is to pass the torch so that those who follow have a light to fight with.”
Last year, the band dropped their Live at Wembley album. Aside from that release, it’s actually been three years since their Back From the Dead record – the band’s last full-length album with new material.
As of next month, Halestorm will embark on a major European tour, supporting Iron Maiden. Swiftly followed by a U.S. run supporting Volbeat and a one-off show at Black Sabbath’s official farewell extravaganza in Birmingham, England, on July 5.
