Watch: Kerry King Performed WWE Wrestler Damian Priest’s Entrance at WrestleMania 41
Last night, Slayer guitarist Kerry King, made a surprise visit at WrestleMania to play amidst bursts of fire to introduce wrestler Damian Priest ahead of his match against Drew McIntyre. King shredded into their collaborative single “Rise For The Night”, which featured both men and was released back in January.
To put it lightly, Priest’s entrance was metal as fuck. From the outfit, to the track itself, the gusts of smoke filling the stage, and the deadpan look on Priest’s face, the whole package made it feel like shit was about to go down. Like other WrestleMania moments involving iconic rock and metal figures, this one will definitely go down as a major event, as well.
Taking place at Allegiant Stadium in Paradise, Nevada, King’s surprise appearance was done as reminder to people that Priest was going to be hosting Slayer’s upcoming performance in Hershey, Pennsylvania at Hersheypark Stadium on Saturday, September 20.
Though Priest unfortunately lost the battle with his opponent, he remains the WWE World Champion. Perhaps more importantly, though, he can comfortably say that he’s got a badass WrestleMania moment involving one of the most iconic figures in metal. In short, a win’s a win.
