Fozzy Single “Fall In Line” is About as Good as Chris Jericho’s Wrestling These Days (It’s Not)
Unless you’ve been watching All Elite Wrestling lately, you probably don’t get that headline. And don’t worry — I’ll get you up to speed super quick. Fozzy frontman Chris Jericho has been a wrestler for roughly 35 years and when he was younger, he was damn good. Now that he’s 54 years old, he’s showing his age a bit.
And while you can’t get much satisfaction after chanting “please retire” to your phone or computer speakers, you can at least understand through my words that Fozzy’s latest single “Fall In Line” is not great at all. It’s over-produced, generic sounding butt rock that stifles Jericho’s vocals under just a thick blanket of effects. It’s a shame because he’s a good vocalist.
What’s wild is it’s described by Jericho as “the most exciting and unique song” in the band’s arsenal. I don’t think you’re going to get people singing along to this like you do with “Judas”. But still, the dude’s excited:
“‘Fall In Line’ is the most exciting and unique song Fozzy has recorded for so many reasons. It has the familiar Fozzy sound that’s been our trademark for 25 years, yet sounds nothing like anything we’ve ever done. We feel its gonna be a MASSIVE addition to our catalog, and are stoked to unleash this tune to the world AND play it live on our tour!”
You can check out the song for yourself, just try not to let it get you wrapped up in a figure four of boredom.
