Aborted Part Ways with Drummer Ken Bedene

After 15 years of playing together, Aborted and their longtime drummer Ken Bedene have split up. Though all we know of the decision stems from an Instagram post from the band, we do know the split if “effective immediately,” which makes things sound like it wasn’t a particularly pleasant split…

According to the band’s statement, Bedene is being replaced by ex-Benighted drummer Kévin Paradis, which is good timing since they’ve got a European tour coming up.

“Effective immediately, Ken Bedene is no longer a member of Aborted. The upcoming European tour is going forward as planned with blast duties being handled by none other than Kevin Paradis.”

It’s important to note here that we’ve only gotten Aborted’s very truncated side of events. Neither Bedene nor Paradis have commented on the announcement, though I’m sure we’ll hear from the latter in due time.

As for Bedene, he deleted his Instagram account, so your guess is as good as mine if we’ll hear anything from him on the matter.
