Check Out This EP by Angell, the Black Metal Band Featuring Ihsahn’s Son
There’s an old adage that goes “like father, like son” and if there was ever a story on this site that really fits that saying, it’s this one. If you’re a fan of black metal, odds are pretty good you know of the legendary Ihsahn thanks to his work in both Emperor and his solo career, but now his progeny is in the game and their band just dropped an EP.
Angell Solberg Tveitan, the aforementioned son of Ihsahn, celebrated the release of his band Angell’s debut EP, Veiled By Woe. Featuring four tracks, the release is the 17-year-old’s launch into the world of black metal.
Leading up to the release, Tveitan was described as a very talented musician whose love of music propelled him into this world.
“Angell is a 17-year-old Norwegian musician and songwriter with a deep-rooted passion for music. A multi-instrumentalist and Notodden Talents 2024 participant, he has performed in musicals, cover bands, and studio sessions. In 2025, he debuts Veiled By Woe, a self-written and performed four-track project. Now preparing for live shows with a full band, Angell is ready to bring his music to the stage.”
Veiled By Woe was mixed and mastered by Sebastian Sendon, given cover art by Ryan William Kay, a logo by Jannicke Wiese Hansen, and laid out by Håkon Grav.
