Children Of Bodom to Release a Career Retrospective Book This Summer
As one of the most beloved bands in the last couple decades, Children of Bodom had a huge rise and a sudden, sad end that have left fans all over the world reeling all these years later. Now, with a few years behind them, the surviving members of the band have opted to put out an official book detailing the career of Children of Bodom.
With stories told through the perspective of guitarist Alexander Kuoppala, bassist Henkka Seppälä, drummer Jaska Raatikainen, and keyboardist Janne Wirman, the book will give fans a chance to learn even more about the band.
As you may recall, Children of Bodom sadly broke up in 2019 after a final show in Helsinki, Finland. Thought it was a bummer to see them go, the band released the official recording of that gig as a live album titled A Chapter Called… Children of Bodom (Final Show In Helsinki Ice Hall 2019).
Sadly, Children of Bodom frontman Alexi Laiho passed away on December 29, 2020 from what the local media said was fatty liver disease and pancreatic fibrosis.
Now, the band say they want to share the stories they’ve held about the band all these years later.
“Since we stopped making music and suffered the tragic loss of our brother Alexi, we’ve been remembering so many great times that we had together, and you can now read about those times in this book. It tells the full history of Children Of Bodom in our own words.”
The book will be available in two editions. Both will have the same book featured, but the Signature Edition will be signed by the surviving members. You can make sure you get your copy this August by preordering the book now.
