Ghost Release a Horror Movie Trailer for Their Next Single “Lachryma” Coming This Friday
I don’t know about you, but I’ve been listening to Ghost‘s debut single “Satanized” off their forthcoming album Skeletá pretty consistently since its release. It’s just too damn catchy, man. So when the insanely popular/wildly hated act selling out arenas around the world announced they were dropping yet another track this Friday, you bet your ass I was excited to hear more.
To get people hyped, Ghost released a trailer for the song (which is ridiculous and also very on brand) that feels very much like a 70s/80s horror movie trailer. At the end, you even get what sounds like a few seconds of some synthy, almost 80s sounding music, so that’s likely part of the track itself. In the trailer’s description, the band wrote:
“We wish to inform you that you’ve made your bed, and now shall cry in it.”
The new track in question is “Lachryma”, the new album’s second track. Apparently the title is Latin for “tears”, which tells us absolutely nothing about the song but fits with the trailer’s description.
Skeletá is set to release on April 25 via Loma Vista Recordings, but you can preorder that album right now. The band also have a huge world tour planned to start later this month. You can find the full list of dates below and get your tickets here.
