Vended’s Griffin Taylor Joins Kid Bookie on New Single “Get Out”
Vended frontman Griffin Taylor, otherwise known the son of Slipknot frontman Corey Taylor, has joined forces with Kid Bookie for his latest offering, “Get Out.” On this collaborative release, the duo mix hellish screamo vocals with hip-hop beats and cutting-edge production.
The track was mixed by award-winning engineer Romesh Dodangoda (Bring Me the Horizon, Holding Absence) and follows the release of Bookie’s latest and third studio album, Songs For The Living // Songs For The Dead.
Speaking about the new release, Bookie shared:
“Griffin and I always spoke about doing something on our own. We are both massive rap fans even though we are predominantly known for rock. Rap and hip-hop are in our blood, man… Gotta bring this rock shit to the hood sometimes. It’s not always Chad Kroeger doing up rockstar; sometimes it’s grit, blood and a massive fuck you.”
Griffin added:
“This single is about what to get when you cross a man with nothing to lose and a man with nothing to gain. This is pure, unadulterated human instinct and a punch in the gullet to anyone trying to test what they’re made of.”
Bookie has also shared an extensive list of new dates for his UK and Europeon tour, featuring support from a French metal band called DAGOBA.
