Babymetal Announce New Album ‘Metal Forth’, Features Poppy, Spiritbox, Polyphia, and More
Wind up the hate machine, all you folks that don’t like fun in your metal — Japanese kawaii-metal band Babymetal announced this morning that they’re releasing a new album on June 13 titled Metal Forth. Not only will it be their follow up to 2023’s The Other One, but it will be a star-studded release featuring collabs with Poppy, Spiritbox, Tom Morello, Bloodywood, Polyphia, and Slaughter to Prevail.
That who’s-who list of modern metal acts have all toured with or worked with Babymetal in the past, so their involvement in the record shouldn’t be a surprise to anyone, really. Still, the world will get to hear the Poppy/Babymetal collab when the band releases the album’s first single “from me to u” this Friday.
The album also includes previously released collaborations with Electric Callboy on “RATATATA” and Tom Morello on “METALI!!”
According to the band, this year marks Babymetal’s 15th anniversary and as such, they plan on releasing a road map of sorts outlining the band’s plans for 2025 on “Fox Day” (April 1).
Starting on June 13, the band will embark on a North American tour with Black Veil Brides, Jinjer and Bloodywood as the supporting act. That will come right after their run of Europe and the U.K. with Poppy and Bambie Thug. You can find all those dates and links to get your tickets below.
