Nevermore is Almost Ready to Announce Their New Lineup

0

Right at the end of last year, Van Williams and Jeff Loomis announced that Nevermore would be making a comeback in 2025. Immediately, fans got excited, Jim Sheppard called the plan “completely disrespectful”, and then there were auditions for the band’s next bassist and vocalist. Everything was moving along but it got quiet about what was happening next.

Well, we now know that the drum and guitar duo are almost ready to announce the band’s brand new lineup following those auditions. In a statement, Loomis said the band will announce the new members very soon.

“The wait is over! We are beyond excited to announce that after an incredible audition process, we’ve assembled a lineup that honors our legacy while forging a new path forward.

“We want to extend a massive thank you to everyone who took the time to submit auditions. The level of talent and passion we saw was truly inspiring, and we deeply appreciate each and every one of you who put your heart into this process. Your support and patience during this time has meant the world to us, and we can’t wait to share what’s next! Stay tuned there’s a lot coming your way soon! We’re gearing up for the next chapter of Nevermore, and we promise it will be worth the wait.”

Nevermore broke up in 2011 because Loomis and Williams decided to leave the band because of some fuckery with the singer Warrel Dane and the bassist Jim Sheppard. Dane said that Nevermore was “the greatest band that alcohol ever ruined.” Some years later in 2017, Dane passed away at the age of 56 due to having a heart attack while in Brazil working on his now posthumous album Shadow Work.

All that’s left to do now is wait…
