Employed to Serve Unleash New Single and Video, “Breaks Me Down”

0

British metal legends Employed to Serve are back with their newest offering in the leadup to their forthcoming album release, Fallen Star. “Breaks Me Down” is a huge track bound by hellish screams and crunching breakdowns.

Made up of a similar formula to their usual work, on this new release, frontwoman Justine Jones and backing vocalist/ guitarist Sammy Urwin split deep guttrals between them. The track comes with a studio play-through music video shot and directed by Joe Guppy – offering a close look at how the band brought this song to life.

Speaking about the new release, Jones express that it’s a track about grief:

“[It] deals with the uncertainty of death and what it means for us left here on earth when someone you love passes beyond the veil.

It is something we will all experience at some point in our lives and yet there is no one handbook that can guide you through the experience of grief. That being said, it makes life more precious and motivates you to make the most of the time we have with the people we love.”
