You Can Now Stream Clutch’s Remastered 1993 Debut Album ‘Transnational Speedway League’
It’s hard to imagine a world without Clutch, but 32 years ago the space truckin’ rock band was a fledgling group of four dudes looking to make kick ass music down in Maryland. Everything that’s come since stems from a single 1993 album titled Transnational Speedway League: Anthems, Anecdotes and Undeniable Truths. And thanks to a surprise release earlier today, you can now listen to that original debut album in all its remastered glory on your favorite streaming platform.
Featuring fan favorite tracks like “A Shogun Named Marcus”, “Binge and Purge”, and “El Jefe Speaks”, it’s a wild ride to hear what Clutch once was. Where they’re a more bluesy rock band in 2025, old school Clutch was more punk in nature. Vocalist Neal Fallon growls a lot more than he ever would do these days. It’s a great look into what could have been with that band.
At this point, we know that Clutch is at least considering what’s to come next in terms of a new album, but that’s also taking a bit of a back seat to all the touring they’ve got on their itinerary. You can catch them live later this year, so definitely check out the list of tour dates below and get your tickets today.
