Chiodos Forced to Reschedule Tour Dates as Craig Owens Battles Illness

0

Everyone gets sick from time to time and unfortunately for Chiodos fans hoping to catch a show over the next couple days are going to have to reschedule their plans, as vocalist Craig Owens is too ill to perform.

This all stems from this past Sunday’s show at The Fillmore in Minneapolis, Minnesota, when after just three songs into Chiodos’ set, the band had to call it quits because of how shitty Owens was apparently feeling. In response, they put out a statement online explaining what happened and their plans moving forward.

“Minnesota —we are very sorry for the set being cut early tonight.

“Shortly before tonight’s performance was about to begin, Craig became quite ill. With the intention of doing his best to proceed on with the show, it soon became apparent that this was not possible.

“We are currently sorting out a rescheduled date with the promoters, with all previously purchased tickets to be honored. We will also work out a refund plan for those that are unable to attend the new date. This resolution will happen very soon and you will be updated momentarily—we appreciate your patience in the meantime.

“Again, we are truly upset and sorry to have this happen, and we will make it up to you—in the meantime please extend your good vibes to Craig to get better soon. At this time all other scheduled shows will continue as planned.”

As it turns out, Owens isn’t doing much better after a couple days off, so that first show, as well as tonight’s show at The Fillmore in Denver and tomorrow’s show at The Depot in Salt Lake City have been pushed to May 4 and May 5, respectively. This past Sunday’s show in Minnesota will not happen on May 1.

That being said, if you have tickets to tonight’s show, you can still catch openers Hawthorne Heights, Emmure, and The Callous Daoboys, so you’ve at least got that going for ya. You can find the full run of tour dates below.
