Brent Hinds is Moving On from Mastodon with a Show Featuring His Three Bands
In the weeks since he’s departed Mastodon, Brent Hinds has sure been the topic of discussion among his former bandmates. The world may not really know what caused the split up, but Mastodon is already looking to fill the void, having already played one show with a prominent YouTuber in Hinds’ place. But for the recently ousted guitarist, it’s nearly time to show the world he’s moved on by announcing a gig that features not just one of his side projects, but all three.
Set for April 18 at The Garden Club at Wild Heaven West in Atlanta, Georgia, the show will feature Hinds’ other bands West End Motel, Fiend Without A Face, and Dirty B & The Boys. Betcha didn’t know he had three other bands going, did ya?
What’s interesting to note is that some of the other dudes in Mastodon were involved in these other bands, so who knows if they’ll be on hand to play with Hinds at this show? My money’s on them not being there and Hinds having to fill in the holes with other musicians.
No matter how things turn out, it’s sure to be an interesting evening, given everything that’s been going on. You can get your tickets over at the official event page.
