Refused Play “Blind” for the First Time Live in 32 Years: Watch

0

Like many other bands lately, Refused is embarking on a farewell tour, saying sayo-fuckin-nara to us fans. This is like a redux of sorts, considering they first “broke up” in 1998 and then reunited in 2014, but who’s keeping track? Their current farewell tour, in which they had to replace Zulu with Deaf Club and Slaughterhouse, started with a show at the Atlantis in Washington, DC this past Thursday (March 20). What’s really got us reeling is the fact that the Swedish post-hardcore band played somewhat deep cuts for the first time.

Not only did they open their set with “Poetry Written in Gasoline,” which they played for the first time live EVER, but they also played “Blind” for the first time since 1993. Many of you hoes weren’t even born yet, and golly does that make me feel old. You can watch footage of them playing “Blind,” as well as hear the audio recording of the whole set below. For the latter, just pretend you’re a short person stuck behind a tall person in the audience. It’ll soften the blow of not being able to see them on stage.
