Ex-Guns N’ Roses Drummer Frank Ferrer Speaks Out About His Departure
Just a couple days ago, we learned that iconic rock band Guns N’ Roses was splitting up with their longest tenured drummer Frank Ferrer after 19 years. It was a sudden decision to those of us outside of the G’N’R camp, but then yesterday they announced that a drummer named Isaac Carpenter would be sitting behind the kit from here on out.
Now that his time with the band has come to an end, Ferrer took to his Instagram account to express his gratitude and love to his former bandmates and the fans as well.
“The outpouring of love I have felt from the incredible fans of Guns N’ Roses and my peers over the past 24 hours has been tremendous.
“I will have immense gratitude and love always for Axl and the band while at the same time, disappointment that this chapter came to an end.
“It has been an incredible 19 years. Guns N’ Roses has given me life-changing memories and experiences.
“A huge thanks to management, the crew, and fans for giving me memories that I will cherish for my lifetime.
“I hope I see you all again soon!”
Ferrer joined Guns & Roses back in 2006 after their previous drummer Bryan Mantia left the band. Not only did he go on tour with the band whenever they hit the road, but Ferrer was also recorded on five songs on Chinese Democracy and on the band’s 2022 Hard Skool.
With Carpenter now handing drums, Guns N’ Roses will seemingly be ready in time for their upcoming tour . You can find the dates for all their upcoming stops down below.
