Melvins 1983 Release New Single “King Of Rome”

0

A new single off of Melvins 1983’s (that’s Melvins with Buzz Osbourne and original drummer Mike Dillard) record Thunderball dropped earlier today. From the get-go, “King of Rome” is a riffy motherfucker. It’s the kind of track you probably shouldn’t put on while driving, because that’s a sure-fire recipe for a speeding ticket.

In addition to Dillard and Osbourne, “King of Rome” features avant-electronic artists Void Manes and Ni Maîtres. Osbourne had this to say about the track:

“The ‘King of Rome’!! Hot Cross Buns! This song is a hot little punk rock number. I hope all of you enjoy it and tell your friends.”

Starting next month, Melvins will be on tour with Napalm Death for the Savage Imperial Death March Part II tour. You can find the absolutely massive list of tour dates below and you can get your tickets right now.

As for Thunderbird, the new record is coming out on April 18 via Ipecac Recordings, but you can preorder your copy today.

Thunderball tracklisting:

  1. King of Rome
  2. Vomit of Clarity
  3. Short Hair With A Wig
  4. Victory of the Pyramids
  5. Venus Blood
