Guns & Roses and Drummer Frank Ferrer Part Ways
After hold down the rhythm section for Guns & Roses for nearly two decades, drummer Frank Ferrer and the iconic rock band have agreed to amicably go their separate ways. There’s no news as to who will be replacing Ferrer, so who knows? Maybe there’s another band out there that just fired their drummer and we’ll see another Slipknot/Sepultura/Suicidal Tendencies drummer swap before too long.
Ferrer joined Guns & Roses back in 2006 after their previous drummer Bryan Mantia left the band. Over on their official Instagram page, the band thanked Ferrer for “the friendship, creativity and sturdy presence over the last 19 years.”
“Guns N’ Roses announce the amicable exit of Frank Ferrer, the longest-serving drummer in their storied run. The band thanks Frank for his friendship, creativity, and sturdy presence over the past 19 years, and they wish him success in the next chapter of his musical journey.
“Frank first joined GNR during a show in June 2006 helping anchor the rhythm section during subsequent tours, including their recent outings featuring the reunited trio of Axl Rose, Slash, and Duff McKagan. His last show with the band took place November 5, 2023 in Mexico.”

With their next live show slated for May 1 in Incheon, South Korea, the clock is ticking for Guns & Roses to find their next drummer and get them up to speed for the show. Once we know more about who that person will be, we’ll share that info with you.
