Doomsday Continue to Crush with Their Latest Ripper “Pain Dweller”

In a little over a week, crossover act Doomsday will release their debut full-length album Never Known Peace through Creator-Destructor Records. At the risk of sounding like a broken fucking record, you need to check these dudes out. And if you haven’t heard the new album’s title track, then you need to check that one out after the single they released earlier today, titled “Pain Dweller”, because both are sure to make you want to German suplex your nearest authority figure through a table.

Hailing from Oakland, California, these guys know how to craft a ripper or two, channeling their influences and distilling them into some meaty fuckin’ tunes. Seriously, listen to those riffs, the drums, the furious vocals, and tell me you can’t already envision a circle pit set to the track posted below. Shit is going to tear up some shit when they hit the road in support of their debut album.

Reflecting on what went into “Pain Dweller,” the band said the track follows the time-honored thrash tradition of hyping people to rise up against their oppressors.

“This song is about rising above the struggle, and standing up from the mud when everything keeps trying to kick you back down. We definitely think this is the closest thing we’ve written that’s like an ‘anthem,’ because we want people singing this back to our face loud as hell.”

Never Known Peace will be released on March 28 via Creator-Destructor Records, but you can preorder your copy today. If you’re in California, you have a few chances to check these guys out live — just find the list of shows below and make your plans.
