Sleep Token Release “Emergence” Single, Announce New Album and U.S. Tour
After weeks and weeks of speculation and hints and puzzles and whatnot, we now have confirmation that yes, Sleep Token have new music coming out. Yes, there will be a new album. Yes, we have a new single titled “Emergence”. And yes, Sleep Token will be going on a tour that will inevitably sell out in minutes.
Released this morning, the new single “Emergence” is the first hint at what their newly announced fourth full-length album Even In Arcadia has to offer. Featuring a more hip hop/electronic sound at parts, this new single also finds space to get heavy and loud, as well, giving fans a run of the band’s overarching sound.
Set for release on May 9 via their new home RCA Records, this is Sleep Token capitalizing on the breakout success of their previous release Take Me Back to Eden. And while it will make sense for them to build on that success, the aforementioned single at least signals that their sound is pushing toward something new an unique on Even In Arcadia.
In addition to the album and single announcement, the band unveiled a U.S. tour that will run from September 16 in Duluth, Georgia and come to an end on October 11 in Los Angeles. Along the way, they’ll hit all the major stops during their 17 city run. The tour is being promoted as Sleep Token’s only headlining run this year, so I’m pretty sure all these dates will sell out crazy fast.
Tickets for the tour will go on sale to the general public this Friday, March 21 at 10 a.m. local time. You can find the full list of dates below.
