Rivers of Nihil Release New Single “American Death”
Progressive death metal outfit Rivers of Nihil released a new track ahead off their forthcoming self-titled album titled “American Death”, so it’s sure to be a happy little ditty. In reality, however, it’s an absolute ass-beater that you may or may not be totally ready for.
Right from the rip, it’s heavy and mean. Punishing rhythms, high octane guitar, and impeccable vocals really drive the whole thing together.
Speaking of the track, guitarist Brody Uttley said ideas of the track had been rattling around in their collective brain for a while now.
“‘American Death’ is a title that we’ve been throwing around and printing on our T-shirts since 2013. We figured it was finally time to write a song with that title, and given the subject matter of the lyrics, it would only make sense for this song to be a true ass beater. It’s definitely the most true form ‘heavy’ song of these singles, so we are very much looking forward to playing it live.”
