HELL YES! ‘Tracking Has Begun’ for Corrosion of Conformity’s Next Album
Any chance I get to hype up the progress of the next Corrosion of Conformity album, I’m going to take it. It’s been seven years since the release of their last album No Cross No Crown and since then, the world’s needed COC’s brand of southern stoner metal/overall good times. And though we’ve been waiting for a loooong time, it sounds like things are moving along quite nicely.
In a recent Facebook reel posted on the band’s official page, you can see the guys jamming out in the studio: Pepper Keenan on guitar, Bobby Landgraf on bass, and Stanton Moore going absolutely bananas on the drums. The caption read: “Tracking has begun. Stanton crackin !!”
If they’re tracking the new record, that means they’re committing songs to “tape”. Eventually that music will then get arranged, edited, mixed, mastered, and then released! Yes, a lot of work still needs to be done, but it’s still reason to get excited — new Corrosion of Conformity music is on its way! And after all the things that have befallen the band in recent years, what with Reed Mullin’s passing and Mike Dean stepping down from the band last September, it’s good to see them pushing forward.
