Paradise Lost’s Next Album is “Halfway Recorded”

0

We all may be closer than we thought to receiving some new music from Paradise Lost. Sure, it’s been roughly five years since the release of their last full-length effort Obsidian, but a recent interview suggests that 2025 could be the year the U.K. doomy/gothic metal outfit puts out something new.

During a recent interview with Chile’s PowerOfMetal.cl, guitarist Greg Mackintosh suggested that a new record could be out after this coming summer, with his own estimate placing the album’s release somewhere in the September-October range.

“Yeah. It’s already halfway recorded. Next week I go to Sweden to finish off recording vocals, and then we mix it and master it and then we give it to the label. And I think it’s coming out, like, September time. So, yeah, it’s almost finished. It’s been the longest time we’ve ever had between albums. But that’s kind of because of the pandemic as well… So shit happens. And, yeah, hopefully it’ll come out September, October time this year.”

That’s some pretty exciting news for Paradise Lost fans. Sure, you’ve been able to enjoy Holmes in other projects like Bloodbath and Host, while guitarist Gregor Mackintosh has also performed with Host and released some work with Strigoi.
