Ice Nine Kills Name Openers for Their ‘Silver Scream-A-Thon’ Tour
Back in December, Ice Nine Kills announced an ambitious tour that would see them playing through The Silver Scream and The Silver Scream 2: Welcome To Horrorwood across two nights at each stop on the tour. It mimicked Metallica’s model for their M72 World Tour, which makes sense since Ice Nine Kills opened some of those dates.
Since then, we’ve known where the tour was going and what they were playing, but we didn’t know who Ice Nine Kills intended on having open each night — until now. Earlier today, the band revealed that the first night of each stop will feature The Word Alive, The Funeral Portrait, and Melrose Avenue. As for the second night, the band will be supported by Hail The Sun, TX2, and Dark Divine.
Speaking of the tour itself, Ice Nine Kills vocalist Spencer Charnas said being able to play two nights in each city gave them the freedom to really explore the two aforementioned albums.
“The Silver Scream-A-Thon is a devilish chance for us to spend twice as much time in some of our favorite haunts, presenting a grindhouse-style double feature filled with deep cuts and our signature singalongs alike.”
In addition to the full-album playthroughs, Charnas said the band will “unearth deep cuts from our band’s haunted past, with shocks and surprises galore.” So in other words, this tour will be exactly what long-time Ice Nine Kills fans will not want to miss.
