Slipknot Perform “Gematria (The Killing Name)” Live for the First Time at Knotfest Australia
I hate missing all the good shit. Everyone who went to Knotfest Australia last night (February 28) was treated to the ultimate gift, and it’s not even the giving season anymore! Everyone’s favorite masked daddies Slipknot added something incredibly unexpected to their setlist—the track “Gematria (The Killing Name).” Coming off their 2008 fourth studio album All Hope Is Gone, the band has never performed the song live… until now. Watching the footage after the fact is not the same, but it’s still good regardless of course, so check out the performance below via a video filmed by CJay the Photographer.
Will they keep the song in their setlist rotation forever and ever now? I don’t fucking know, but let’s hope so. Slipknot has four upcoming shows left of their Australia and New Zealand tour, including two more Knotfest Australia dates. Info on that is below as well.
Slipknot remaining Australia and New Zealand tour dates:
3/02 Brisbane, AUS @ Brisbane Showground for Knotfest Australia
3/04 Adelaide, AUS @ AEC Arena
3/08 Sydney, AUS @ Centennial Park for Knotfest Australia
3/11 Auckland, NZ @ Spark Arena
