Belushi Speed Ball is Changing the Metal Merch Game Again One Jar of Cat Bath Water at a Time

The mad scientists cooking up the thrash outfit Belushi Speed Ball‘s merch offerings have done it again. With a reckless abandon for human cognition, they’ve gone ahead and offered something that mere mortals might not be able to live without — cat bath water generated by vocalist Vinny Crastellano’s very beautiful furry babby Stella.

I mean, the water’s not by itself. Naturally it’s all in service of promoting the fact that the band’s currently in the studio working on their next album. Every weird and wild piece of exclusive merch has always been in service of promoting the new hotness from BSB — regardless of whether it’s an old Teddy Ruxspin, a Furby, a Super Nintendo, or a literal piece of pizza encased in resin.

In light of the release of what was so colorfully described as the cat’s “soiled immersion fluid,” Crastelliano said it was all to appeal to metalheads and their love of cats.

“We here at Belushi Speed Ball pride ourselves in making generic cliché crossover thrash for cats and cat owners. That’s why we are proud to be the first metal band to offer Artisanal Siamese Cat Bath Water. Stella’s bath water to be exact. Now available on our Bandcamp.”

That last part isn’t a lie or joke either. For just $15 you can get a jar of the cat’s bath water. There’s no music attached to this offering unlike all the other oddball bits of merch. This is just straight up bath water as if Stella were the feline version of Belle Delphine (if you don’t know who that is, don’t Google it… or do, whatever).

That being said, you could say this bathwater offering is a way to get people talking about BSB’s forthcoming fourth album. They released their most recent album Stellkira just last year, so definitely check that out if you dig pizza and thrash metal.
