Try Not to Open Up This “Pit Of Misery” While Listening to Get The Shot’s Latest Single

We’ve all felt it — you hit play on a new track and all of a sudden you want to fuck something up. The music’s heavy, the tempo’s unrelenting, and it’s just in your face energy right from the get-go.

Such was the feeling I got while listening to Quebec City hardcore outfit Get The Shot’s new single, “Pit of Misery.” And then holy shit the breakdown hits and you’re liable to snap someone’s spine in half. Which makes sense, honestly, because vocalist Jean-Philippe Lagacé looks like he’d be the perfect shoe-in for the jacked Batman villain Bane.

Described by the band as their “heaviest offering to date,” the song really is that badass. This wasn’t released in conjunction with a new album or anything, it was just a new song to release before they head out on their European tour, which kicks off next Friday.
